Problem connecting to mysql database on external server

Problem on the connection with MySQL on an external server

On this tutorial we’ll show the solution of error that can occur on a connection with an External MySQL.

The error is:

mysqlnd cannot connect to MySQL 4.1+ using the old insecure authentication. Please use an administration tool to reset your password with the command SET PASSWORD = PASSWORD ('your_existing_password'). This will store a new, and more secure, hash value in mysql.user. If this user is used in other scripts executed by PHP 5.2 or earlier you might need to remove the old-passwords flag from your my.cnf file

The solution is:

The error generated by MySQL.

To solve this problem, you need to change the password of the user this connecting, where most of the time the User is root. As the error it’s self says.

"Please use an administration tool to reset your password with the command SET PASSWORD = PASSWORD ('your_existing_password')".

Perform the change and then try connect again.

Okay, after performing this procedure, teh problem will be solved.
